Welcome to StorkTalk, Leicester and East Midlands based hypnobirthing and antenatal education classes, run by Tracey Carton.

Hi, I’m Tracey and thanks for visiting my website! Here’s a little snippet about me and why I love doing what I do…

I previously worked as a beauty therapist before training as a Midwife and now focus on the holistic side of nurturing mums during and after their birth journey.

During my time as a Midwife I gained a variety of experience supporting women in their labour , birth and postnatal journey. I observed how women who had some knowledge about how their body worked in labour and birth,  were often calmer and  more confident and had less anxiety so this led me to research and train in hypnobirthing.

I loved the positive aspect of this fascinating subject and soon began to use its techniques in my practice. Hypnobirthing is a wonderful way to normalise the birthing process and provide you with the tools to give you a positive experience on your birth journey. It gives you the confidence in yourself and will teach you to understand and trust your body.

Fast forward a few years and I am now a pregnancy therapist providing antenatal and hypnobirthing sessions,  pregnancy yoga classes baby massage/baby yoga classes and also offer pregnancy and postnatal  massages.

Childbirth is a normal physiological process and all birth experiences will be different, I can personally vouch for that as I have 3 children and their births were incredibly different.

With my combined professional and personal experience my philosophy and aim is to support women throughout their birth journey and help them feel empowered and confident. The sessions I offer will provide  you with a positive and realistic outlook towards labour, birth and becoming new parents regardless of where that journey takes you.

I am married to Eugene and have three lovely children, a son Joe and two daughters Rebecca and Lydia and a gorgeous Granddaughter. Becoming parents was a huge learning curve for us, and I now realise how little we both knew about pregnancy, birth, babies and parenting.

I wasn’t a Midwife when I had my children and although I attended an antenatal session it didn’t really prepare me and the only book available was Emma’s Diary! and of course, all those years ago when my son was born there wasn’t any internet… so no Google!!

This has led me to be passionate and determined to provide antenatal education and support to parents which will empower them, and help give them confidence in their new roles.

Hi Tracey,

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the antenatal/hypnobirth session you did for us on Tuesday evening at our home.  It was really detailed and informative; we felt very relaxed and loved the individuality of session.  We would thoroughly recommend you to other expectant parents.

Thanks again

Yesterday we had a full day with Tracey at our home. We are 37 weeks pregnant with our first child. Tracey was amazing! She made us both feel relaxed and the session was both fun and informative. She talked us through labour and giving birth, breathing and relaxation techniques, safe sleeping for the baby, bathing and changing the baby and so much more.

The session was the best thing we have done throughout our pregnancy. When Tracey left us we both felt 100% more relaxed and confident and neither of us can thank her enough. I would recommend these sessions to any new parents to be and the only thing we wished afterwards was that she could have stayed with us until the baby was here! A huge thank you to Tracey and we will be telling everyone to try stork talk!

Being a first time mum motherhood is all new to me and I had many questions and anxieties regarding the birth. Tracey so wonderfully guided me through the birthing procedure and has changed my perspective on the whole thing. I'm not afraid to give birth anymore, I'm excited to meet my newborn baby! Fantastic sessions I cannot recommend highly enough, it's tailored to your individual needs and moves at a pace that's right for you. The flexibility and convenience of having the service at home is brilliant as you can be shown things to help you through the early stages of labour with what you already have at home. The classes focused on both of the parents role so my husband felt included throughout. A real eye opening session for us both. So glad I chose Stork Talk!

I would thoroughly recommend the Storktalk hypnobirthing workshops, like many women I was feeling quite anxious about giving birth for the first time and wanted to feel as prepared for the labour as possible. I'd heard from friends who'd previously gone down the hypnobirthing route how fantastic it was and was eager to try it for myself. I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint, the techniques which Tracey taught us in the sessions were very useful when it came to the big day, staying calm and relaxed in early labour and knowing how to breathe through the contractions helped me to stay at home as long as possible and also I believe helped to speed up the whole process (I went from nothing to 3 contractions every ten minutes within just a few hours).

Having the session at home was brilliant, it was more informal and relaxed. Both my partner and I felt we could ask Tracey anything and she did a great job of tailoring the workshop to suit us. Her positive energy and expertise instantly put us at ease and left us feeling assured and excited about the birth instead of being nervous. Having someone go through the birthing process with you and explaining how our bodies are designed to cope with labour really helped ease my mind and gave me a lot of confidence.

I was very lucky in that my labour went very smoothly and that I had no problems or complications, I know for every woman it's a completely different experience but I have to say I absolutely loved giving birth, it was a truly amazing experience and then getting my beautiful little daughter at the end was a dream come true. The best day of my life for sure.

June and Alana

I want to thank you for your amazing pregnancy massages during the final days of my pregnancy, they were the much needed calm before my two-under-two storm (😆🙈).

Alana was lucky to enjoy her first massages whilst in utero! Baby massage was a blessing in the early weeks, they helped us get into a bedtime routine early on, and even helped produce some epic (but much-needed) poonamis 😂😂😂

I wish I knew you when I had my first, and am ever grateful to my midwife for recommending you during my second pregnancy. THANK YOU and we miss you!

Thank you Tracey for supporting me on my journey from 20weeks +.

Having you come to my house and give me a chance to relax and recoup has been one of the best things I did! You are so good at getting me to relax especially when I had tough days in my pregnancy.

Also your knowledge and experience of birth made me feel reassured with any concerns I had! Sometimes I felt you were my pregnancy fairy godmother. It’s nice to know you will still be supporting me through postnatal massage and baby massage!

Thank you so much for everything, sometimes having those moments to stop and relax in pregnancy are so precious xxx

I can’t recommend highly pregnancy massage enough. I felt so much better mentally and physically. So worth it. Best massage I’ve ever had. This is more than a massage, it’s an experience, it’s therapy.”

Tracey is a fountain of Knowledge so use the opportunity to pick her brains too xxxx

Bhavna

I can’t recommend Tracey enough, her soothing voice in my head got me through both my labour’s.

Her pregnancy  massages are amazing and relaxing, exactly what you need when you are carrying all that extra weight!

The yoga poses are very useful to make sure that the babies get into the correct position ready for birth, and also to relieve any back aches and tension.

I will continue to recommend Tracey and the amazing work she does to get you ready for birth.
